Nigerian sprint hurdler Tobi Amusan has confirmed that she will compete at the 2026 ATHLOS track meet, adding another major appearance to her international season.
Amusan, the world record holder in the women’s 100m hurdles, is set to compete in both editions of this year’s ATHLOS series.
The first meet will take place at StoneX Stadium in London on September 18, followed by the New York event at Icahn Stadium on October 2.
ATHLOS is a women-only athletics competition designed to provide elite female athletes with a high-level platform outside the traditional global championship calendar.
The event features a multi-meet format, championship structure and significant prize money as part of efforts to raise the profile of women’s track and field.
Amusan’s participation is expected to strengthen the 100m hurdles field, with the Nigerian among the leading names expected to compete in the event.
The 29-year-old has established herself as one of Nigeria’s leading athletes on the global stage. She set the 100m hurdles world record of 12.12 seconds at the 2022 World Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
