The enigmatic Soundgod, Runtown, has officially revealed the release date for his highly anticipated new album, the fourth instalment in his Soundgod Fest series, set to drop on 6 June 2025.
In the lead-up to the project, the Afrobeats star released two singles: Flow in December 2024 and Do Me in April 2025, both of which have reignited interest in his distinctive musical style.
The forthcoming album arrives nearly three years after his previous full-length project, Signs. Following a hiatus after that release, Runtown made a low-key return with Flow, a track that reintroduced the familiar sonic signature that first propelled him to fame.
His recent offerings explore themes of vanity, vulnerability, and the curated allure of luxury living, subject matter that resonates with his typically private and understated persona.

What has long set Runtown apart is his ability to remain true to his artistic identity while quietly building a solid career on his own terms. His upcoming album is expected to continue this ethos, allowing the music to speak for itself, just as he has done with era-defining hits like Gallardo featuring Davido and Bend Down Pause featuring Wizkid.
In 2017, Runtown achieved mainstream dominance with the chart-topping single Mad Over You, which has since become one of the most iconic Afrobeats records of the last decade.
With this new project, Runtown seeks not only to reconnect with long-time fans but also to reaffirm his place as the Soundgod of Afrobeats.
