Kano NSCDC Command Promises Stronger Surveillance Operations

The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, Mohammed Hassan-Agalama, says the command will intensify surveillance to secure the nation’s critical assets.

This is contained in a statement issued to journalists in Kano on Tuesday by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Ibrahim Idris-Abdullahi.

The command’s image maker quoted his principal as saying this while inspecting the Kano main railway station and the storage site where old rail sleepers removed from various locations in Kano were kept.

Hassan-Agalama said the inspection was aimed at ensuring that the rail sleepers were safely stored and that none go missing or diverted.

According to the commandant, the corps prioritises the protection of all critical national assets and infrastructure for the benefit of the public.

During the tour, the commandant was accompanied by the Head of the Critical National Assets and Infrastructure Department, DC Victor Bala, and staff of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC).

The head of the firm handling the evacuation exercise commended NSCDC personnel for their support and cooperation.
