Dangote Petroleum Refinery has increased its gantry price of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), commonly known as diesel, by ₦100 per litre, from ₦1,700 to ₦1,800, effective Saturday, October 10, 2026.
The adjustment was communicated to customers in a notice issued by the refinery’s Group Commercial Operations on Saturday.
The notice directed customers to return all Authority to Collect (ATC) documents for repricing, adding that new volume contracts would be issued before loading resumed.
The increase comes three days after the refinery reduced its diesel price by ₦80 per litre, from ₦1,780 to ₦1,700, effective October 7.
That reduction followed another price cut of ₦70 on October 1, when the price dropped from ₦1,850 to ₦1,780 per litre.
The latest adjustment comes amid fluctuations in global crude oil prices and changes in diesel import costs. However, the refinery did not provide a specific reason for the increase in its notice.

Data from the Major Energies Marketers Association of Nigeria showed that estimated spot diesel landing costs fell by ₦127.28 per litre between September 30 and October 2, reaching ₦1,696.40 per litre.
The latest price increase could raise operating costs for manufacturers, transport operators and businesses that rely on diesel-powered generators.
However, the extent to which the adjustment will affect depot and retail prices will depend on supply conditions, distribution costs and marketers’ pricing decisions.
