The Geeks & Founders Alliance for Soludo (GEFAS) has taken a significant step toward advancing Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s vision of a smart, digitally connected Anambra State by officially launching its Mobile Tech Hub, a custom-built bus providing free high-speed WiFi directly to the people.
This was contained in a statement signed by Angela Nwanodu, Public Relations Officer of the Anambra ICT Agency, and issued to the press in Awka.
Equipped with advanced internet technology, voice, data services, and reliable backup power, the GEFAS Mobile Tech Hub can deliver seamless connectivity to up to 3,000 users simultaneously at rallies, campaign sites, and other public venues. This initiative complements the existing Solution WiFi project, which operates in more than 26 locations across Anambra State.
The unveiling took place at the Tower of Light on Emeka Anyaoku Boulevard, Awka, where Deputy Governor Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim officially flagged off the Mobile Tech Hub. He was joined by key government officials including Secretary to the State Government Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, Chief Chinedu Nwoye, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, members of the media, and representatives of the GEFAS community.

The bus is set to accompany Governor Soludo’s campaign across Anambra, bringing digital access to more towns and neighborhoods in the days ahead.
Expressing his enthusiasm during the event, Dr. Ibezim praised the initiative as a perfect embodiment of Governor Soludo’s development agenda. “We expect nothing less from Agbata, a leader in ICT innovation, this is why the Governor appoints experts in their fields,” he said, highlighting the project’s sophistication and strategic importance.
He added, “Wherever this Mobile Tech Hub parks, people will enjoy free internet access, supporting our goal to make Anambra a preferred destination to live, work, invest, and relax.”
Dr. Ibezim further assured that the government intends to sustain and expand this effort. “This is not a one-off project. The Governor is working to ensure this becomes a permanent feature, with more such vehicles deployed to reach all corners of Anambra,” he affirmed.
Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata (CFA), Convener of GEFAS and Managing Director/CEO of the Anambra State ICT Agency, described the project as a direct result of the Governor’s visionary policies, especially the removal of Right of Way (RoW) charges, which have accelerated broadband expansion in the state.
“We’re celebrating innovation today,” Agbata said.
“Thanks to Governor Soludo’s policies, we’ve already brought free WiFi to public spaces, student hostels, and four higher institutions in Anambra. This Mobile Tech Hub brings that access to even more people, right where they are.”
“In today’s economy, data is expensive. This is a practical solution from the Solution Government. Whether you’re downloading a movie, attending a virtual class, or sending business emails, you can do it without spending a kobo.”
He concluded with a call to action: “Vote Governor Soludo and let the Solution continue.”
Meanwhile, Agbata highlighted that the Mobile Tech Hub was successfully deployed during the Anambra Central endorsement rally for the Governor. He encouraged citizens to search for “Solution WiFi” on their devices and enjoy free connectivity.
