Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle has named captain Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey and Ademola Lookman in a 24-man squad for Nigeria’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures against Tanzania.
The squad also features goalkeepers Stanley Nwabali, Francis Uzoho and Arthur Okonkwo, alongside defenders Olaoluwa Aina, Benjamin Fredricks and Chibuike Nwaiwu.
Midfielders Tochukwu Nnadi, Samson Tijani and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru have also been included, while Moses Usor, Taiwo Awoniyi and Akor Adams are among the attacking options.
Turkey-based defender Nwaiwu and Czechia-based wing-back Abdullahi Bewene are also part of the selection.
Nigeria will host Tanzania’s Taifa Stars at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on November 13 before travelling to Zanzibar for the return fixture at the Amman Stadium on November 17.
The Super Eagles, currently second in Group L, need victories in both matches to strengthen their chances of securing the group’s sole qualifying ticket for the 2027 tournament.
The competition will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
