The award-winning entertainer, known for her comic brilliance and academic achievements, had earlier announced her birthday in a post on her verified Instagram handle, @itshelenpaul, where she expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life.
In her birthday message, she wrote: “+1 today. Happy Birthday to me!
“Dear God, thank You for the gift of life. As I add a new year today, please bless me with good health, long life, wisdom, favour, and endless blessings.
“Let this new year bring me peace, progress, and testimonies. May my steps be guided and my dreams fulfilled. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Helen Paul rose to fame through her witty and satirical character on the radio programme Wetin Dey on Radio Continental Lagos, where she used humour to address societal issues.
She later expanded her career into music, releasing her debut album Welcome Party in 2012, featuring tracks such as Boju Boju, Vernacular and Gbedu.
The entertainer has also featured in several Nollywood productions and earned multiple awards, including Comedienne of the Year at the African Film Awards in 2012.
In 2014, she won Outstanding TV Presenter (Female) for Entertainment/Talk Show at the Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards (NBMA).
