Graphic‑design platform Canva has unveiled its own artificial‑intelligence model and a fully revamped “Creative Operating System,” expanding beyond traditional design tools into video, email, data management and enterprise workflows.
At the core of the update is the “Canva Design Model,” which the company describes as the first AI trained to understand layers, structure, brand identity and design logic, rather than just generate flat images.
The Creative Operating System incorporates Canva’s Visual Suite‑2.0 enhancements, including ‘Video 2.0’ for rapid video creation, ‘Canva Forms’ and ‘Sheets’ for interactive data capture, ‘Canva Code’ for simple web widgets and dashboards, and ‘Canva Grow’ for marketing‑campaign management.

Canva said the initiative transforms its platform into a single workspace for design, brand management, marketing and collaboration, positioning it as a competitor to established creative‑software companies such as Adobe.
Most new features will roll out globally over the coming weeks, with advanced AI tools included in Pro and Business subscriptions. The company also made its professional‑grade Affinity design suite free for all users as part of the overhaul.
