The Federal Government has formally deployed four skilled Nigerian volunteers to the Republic of Sierra Leone under the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (TAC) programme.
The team, consisting of two Professors, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) holder, and a Master’s degree holder, will serve in key sectors including law, medicine, and science.
In a statement, the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Ebienfa, said the deployment reflects President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening bilateral and multilateral ties with sister African nations and the Caribbean, as part of Nigeria’s South-South cooperation agenda.

According to the ministry, the volunteers will be integrated into Sierra Leone’s institutions to support human capacity and capital development.
The Nigerian government expressed appreciation to the Government of Sierra Leone for the warm reception accorded to the volunteers, noting that the initiative demonstrates Nigeria’s belief in collective prosperity and shared destiny among African nations.
The statement reaffirmed Nigeria’s determination to continue promoting international cooperation and mutual development through the TAC programme.
