Gombe Partners Rano Air for Abuja–Gombe Flights

The Gombe State Government has finalised an agreement with Rano Air Limited for the commencement of scheduled commercial flights between Abuja and Gombe.

The development followed a meeting in Abuja between Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and senior management officials of the airline, where both parties concluded arrangements for the new service.

To formalise the partnership, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, on behalf of the Gombe State Government, and the General Manager (Operations) of Rano Air, Mr Abah Godwin, who represented the airline.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Sole Administrator of Brigadier Zakari Maimalari International Airport, Gombe, Mr Suleiman Daniel Musa, and Mr Auwal Sulaiman Ubale, representing their respective institutions.

According to the agreement, Rano Air will deploy an Embraer 145 aircraft with a 50-passenger capacity to operate four weekly flights on the Abuja–Gombe–Abuja route. The flights are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Rano Air representatives assured the Governor that the airline’s services would be reliable, efficient, and customer-oriented, aimed at boosting business travel and promoting economic growth in Gombe State and the wider North-East region.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya welcomed the partnership, describing it as “further proof of Gombe’s growing reputation as a safe, stable, and business-friendly state.”
