To enhance governance and service delivery, Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has approved the appointment of seven officials into key positions across the state’s government agencies.
The Director-General, Media and Publicity, Government House, Sunusi Bature, made this known in a statement issued on Friday in Kano
The newly appointed officials are: Dr Bashir Muzakkar as Director-General, Kano State Information and Communication Technologies Development Agency (KASITDA). Until his appointment, Muzakkar was the Special Adviser to the Governor on Digital and Creative Economy.

Kabiru Dakata was also named Director-General, State Advert and Signage Agency (KASA), while Dr Fatima Abubakar was appointed Director-General, State Social Protection Agency (KASPA) which previously served as Special Adviser on Enlightenment and Social Mobilisation, Isyaku Umar- Kwa, Deputy Managing Director of the State Housing Corporation; Hamisu Danzaki, Executive Secretary, State Scholarship Board; and Isma’il Nasarawa, Provost, Anti-Corruption Institute.
Mohammed Gabasawa was also appointed Commandant of the Corporate Security Institute
Yusuf expressed confidence that the new appointees possess the capacity and dedication to advance his administration’s development agenda and drive reforms across the state’s key sectors.
